My client is a rapidly growing multi-managers systematic hedge fund. They are hiring a Cloud/AWS engineer to streamline their trading activities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with development, trading, and operations teams to design and implement deployment strategies for cloud applications.
• Lead the integration of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices to automate and streamline software delivery.
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health, performance, and availability of applications hosted in the cloud.
• Work with developers to enhance the scalability, reliability, and security of applications in cloud environments.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for technical issues related to deployments and infrastructure.
• Assess and implement new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency of DevOps workflows.
• Serve as a liaison between development, trading, and operations teams to foster effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with cloud services and infrastructure, particularly AWS components such as EC2, S3, and VPC.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience in implementing pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and experience with deployment automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of the Linux networking stack, including optimization and performance considerations.
• Understanding of synchronization protocols like NTP and PTP for precise timing measurements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork across various departments.
