The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Phantom Works Quality Organization in Kent, WA!
Join Boeing as a Quality Engineer and drive world-class safety and reliability across cutting-edge aerospace programs. In this position, you will support quality defect reduction, root-cause problem solving, and continuous improvement to ensure parts and processes meet the aerospace manufacturing standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead Integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
- Develop quality metrics, design, and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements
- Develop quality criteria for supplier selection activities
- Lead design and quality reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated
- Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
- Develop and implement corrective actions
- Assist in development of new standards for nonconformance repairs
- Develop and select methods for analysis, testing and audits
- Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
- Provide interpretation of complex requirements
- Work under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
- 5+ years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications)
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years of experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
- 10+ years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications)
- Experience with Early Quality Involvement Tool (EQI)
- Leadership experience
- Top Secret Clearance preferred
- Experience with new development programs
- 5+ years of experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
Shift:
This position is for 1st shift, however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives. Shift differential may be available when on 2nd/3rd shift.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $130,900 - $177,100
