Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Software Design Engineer in Hsinchu office. This role will be working within a team to design, implement and maintain our Backend of server management product. Candidate should be self-motivated and eager to satisfy customers' need by considering security, performance, optimization and usability in their designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design & Develop Software

Build scalable and maintainable systems by writing clean and efficient code.

2. Analyze Requirements

Translate user and business needs into technical solutions.

3. Test & Debug

Ensure software quality through testing, debugging, and issue resolution.

4. Collaborate Across Teams

Work with PMs, designers, and engineers to deliver cohesive solutions.

5. Maintain & Improve Systems

Deploy updates, monitor performance, and continuously optimize software.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• 5+ years of experience in backend software development (preferred)
• Proficient in RESTful API development
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Familiar with at least 3 of the following CNCF projects:
  
  Prometheus, Grafana, Kubevirt, Helm, Kubespray, Hami, OpenSearch
• Familiar with at least 1 of the following NVIDIA tools/technologies:
  
  GPU Operator, Device Plugin, NCCL, dcgm-exporter, KAI-Scheduler

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes CNI, CRD, API Server, and Operator framework
• Familiarity with Openshift or VMware Tanzu
• Familiar with at least 1 of the following advanced CNCF projects:
  
  Calico, Flannel, Cilium, Kube-router, Kubeslice, kube-ovn
• Experience with at least 1 NVIDIA enterprise solution:
  
  NVIDIA AI Enterprise, Network Operator, Cumulus Linux, NetQ
