Bamboo Card is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the Chinese gaming and e-commerce markets. The role focuses on cultivating high-value partnerships, driving B2B sales, and scaling digital distribution of games and e-gift cards. Role can be based in China mainland or some other Chinese speaking market.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Chinese gaming and e-commerce ecosystem.
- Negotiate deals with resellers, distributors, and marketplaces, securing allocations and competitive pricing.
- Assist with engagement with Chinese Brands or publishers, looking to sell their products globally
- Build and manage long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and smooth onboarding.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to inform growth strategy.
- Collaborate with Ops, Tech, Marketing, and Finance teams to execute campaigns and launches.
- Maintain CRM pipeline, track performance metrics, and optimize sales strategies.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in gaming, e-commerce, or digital product sales targeting Chinese-speaking markets.
Strong network with resellers, distributors, or platforms in China; relationships with Chinese brands or publishers across Asia are an advantage.
Fluency in both Mandarin and English (spoken, written, and business communication) is mandatory.
Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or strategic partnerships.
Familiarity with API-based distribution platforms and CRM tools.
Strong analytical skills with experience in pricing, forecasting, and margin management.
