Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector (NGAS) is seeking a Property and Asset Management Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site in Palmdale, CA. This position will be responsible for ensuring that property control activities and accountability of government, customer, and company-owned property are in compliance with company policy and FAR property regulations.
Combined Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure asset management compliance with applicable government requirements and regulations (e.g., FAR 52.245-1, DFARS 245.6, 252.245-7003, other applicable FAR/DFARS/DoD regulations) and with company procedures
Review, update, and maintain property records in the property management tracking system/database (e.g., SAP), ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date information, including locations and status
Receive and tag assets, and input information into the property tracking system
Maintain property accountability records, and arrange for the identification, segregation, and disposal of surplus, obsolete, or excess material
Perform property inventories, reconciliations, and support property surveys and audits
Provide training and guidance to internal customers to ensure government property compliance and sound property management practices are maintained
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., program management, procurement, production, supply chain) to resolve property‑related issues
Drive positive change and continuous improvement in internal processes
Additional tasks/assignments may be given to assist other team members as necessary
Work Schedule & Travel
Standard work schedule is 9/80A (nine‑hour days Monday–Thursday with every other Friday off)
Travel up to 10% of the time; occasional irregular hours and travel may be required
Basic Qualifications:
Must either have a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant property management experience, or a master's degree with at least 1 year of relevant property management experience, or a PhD with at least 0 years of relevant property management experience. In lieu of a degree, a high school degree/diploma is acceptable with at least 4 years of relevant property management experience
Experience with Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work, including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting to 25 pounds, and working overhead
Ability to work hours as necessary to meet business objectives. This may include working over 40 hours (40+ hours in a work week)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
NPMA certification
Experience with ERP systems, SAP knowledge, and skills are highly preferred
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards related to property/asset management activities
Active DoD Secret Clearance within the last 5 years
