We are looking for a Senior Program Buyer (Electronics and plastic) for our plant in Ciudad Juárez I (Parque Intermex).
What you can look forward to as Senior Program Buyer (Electronics and plastic) :
- Evaluate purchasing operations, control budgets/costs, ensure policy compliance, and resolve operational/customer issues.
- Define and execute commodity strategies to exceed program objectives and commercial performance targets.
- Drive dual sourcing and supplier localization to optimize supply base resilience and cost.
- Develop and manage BOMs aligned with—and exceeding—business plan cost targets.
- Identify and mitigate project and commercial risks proactively across sourcing activities.
- Lead supplier selection and quotation analysis (TCO, tooling, metal markets), and manage RFQs via SupplyOn.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities (sales, engineering, quality, logistics), manage escalations, and support plant purchasing/technical buyer handoffs (AIS, Copra).
- Implement cost reduction initiatives (VA/VE, negotiations), support supplier strategy (approval lists, benchmarking), and ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, QS9000, and VDA standards.
Your profile as Senior Program Buyer (Electronics and plastic):
- Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field
- Experience in high-level/complex business and/or purchasing negotiations
- Experience auditing quality systems or TS requirements /Experience in the Automotive industry
- Knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications.
- Working knowledge of assigned commodities, materials, processes.
- Working knowledge in blueprint reading, statistics, PPAP documentation, product costing, and specifications.
- Working knowledge of cost improvement/containment topics and techniques.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)/ Proficient English language skills
