WE ARE HIRING: Marketing Specialist, China

Role Overview

We are seeking a self motivated and commercially driven Marketing Specialist, China to support revenue generation, customer acquisition, market development, and client relationship management within the food and beverage industry.

The selected candidate will act as an indirect sales representative for the assigned China market, focusing on tea and tea related products. The role involves identifying potential customers, generating leads, presenting products, negotiating business opportunities, building long term client relationships, and supporting market mapping activities to contribute to long term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential customers through cold calling, networking, market research, and other lead generation channels.
• Present tea and tea related products to customers by clearly explaining product features, benefits, and value propositions.
  
• Tailor solutions based on customer requirements and market expectations.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and business agreements with clients, with support from senior management where required.
  
• Close sales opportunities effectively and contribute to revenue generation in the assigned market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  
• Identify new business opportunities through regular customer engagement and market follow up.
• Conduct market mapping for China and provide insights on industry demand, market trends, potential buyers, go to market strategy, and competitor activities.
  
• Track Ceylon Tea market performance and provide regular market updates and analysis.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams, including marketing and customer support, to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  
• Represent the business professionally in the China market and support long term market development strategies.
• Travel to Colombo for product and company training when required.
  

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or a related role.
• Experience in tea, beverages, bubble tea, RTD producers, or food and beverage solutions will be a strong advantage.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
• Good negotiation skills with the ability to close business opportunities effectively.
  
• Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain long term business relationships.
• Good understanding of product selling, customer engagement, and market development.
  
• Willingness to learn product knowledge through structured training.
• Experience using CRM software and data analysis tools will be an advantage.
  
• Ability to work independently in a commission based role.
• Self motivated, resilient, target driven, and able to manage challenges professionally.
  
• Strong market awareness with the ability to identify potential buyers and business opportunities in China.
