Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and preparing financial reports, maintaining and managing various business systems related to accounting functions, and collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. The position serves as lead accountant for projects, participates in audits and exams, plays a significant role in producing the annual budget, develops and maintains written procedures, and assists the manager in overseeing the daily operations of the department and in providing guidance for other Finance Professionals. Duties and functions must be completed accurately according to deadlines and in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications/Experience

  • At least four years of related experience in Accounting, Finance or related field, with a strong preference for experience in a credit union or bank.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Reserve Bank System and financial institution operations, products, and services.
  • Knowledge of accounting functions, and accounting and core data systems for financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and regulations for financial institutions.
  • Advanced skill level with Excel, Microsoft Word, general ledger, and accounting systems.
  • Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong analytical abilities; interpersonal skills; and clear and concise oral and written communications.
  • Able to research, comprehend, and apply GAAP, accounting standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Able to analyze information, make decisions and develop solutions based on sound judgement.
  • Well organized, able to work efficiently and in adherence with multiple deadlines.


Salary Range

  • Minimum - $57,576
  • Maximum - $92,122
