Description
This role will focus on growing and managing single family and multifamily production builder accounts. The role will develop new business opportunities and build strong relationships within the production homebuilding industry. This role will drive revenue growth and establish long-term partnerships with production builders.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and target new production builder accounts to drive sales growth and take market share.
- Develop tailored sales strategies to meet the unique needs of production homebuilders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, product gaps, opportunities, and competitor activity within the production building sector.
Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within production builder organizations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize sales and profitability.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share within the production builder segment.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective product positioning and promotional campaigns.
Product Knowledge & Support:
- Maintain a deep understanding of product offerings and industry trends.
- Educate production builder clients on product features, benefits, and installation processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Relationship Building:
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build industry presence and expand business opportunities.
- Develop long-term partnerships with production builders to become a trusted advisor and preferred supplier.

- Work effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.

- Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule. Be fully present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst coworkers and teams.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the production building or construction industry.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role.
- Experience working with production homebuilders is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating Systems and Programs
- Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with production homebuilders and construction companies.
- Familiarity with building materials and product specifications.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $150,000
