The Impact You’ll Make
You’ll play a key role in delivering and supporting client programmes and projects, including:
- Managing delivery of complex projects, or key workstreams within broader programmes
- Establishing fit-for-purpose delivery structures, including planning, governance, and reporting
- Supporting programme delivery, working alongside senior client and Deloitte leaders
- Providing delivery assurance, including health checks, risk identification, and practical recommendations
- Supporting recovery and stabilisation efforts, helping bring projects back on track where needed
- Managing key delivery fundamentals—scope, schedule, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Building strong client relationships, becoming a trusted and reliable delivery partner
- Working collaboratively with technical and business teams across Deloitte and client environments
- Contributing to proposals and business development activities
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Qualifications
Your Expertise
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or workstream lead delivering complex projects or components of larger programmes
- Strong grounding in core project management disciplines (planning, governance, risk, reporting)
- Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and communicate clearly at different levels
- Experience managing scope, timelines, and budgets
- Familiarity with vendor coordination and multi-team environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing role is advantageous
- Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) are beneficial

We’re looking for a Senior Consultant / Manager with Project Management experience to join our Christchurch team, working across a mix of standalone projects and workstreams within larger programmes.
