About strategic finance team:

• The strategic finance team is a new, lean and agile Singapore-based team tasked with taking FP&A and business intelligence from zero to one in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines by collaborating with central support departments based in headquarters (Jakarta, Indonesia) as well as local, operating teams -- and driving spend-efficient growth

• Some of the things the team is working on right now includes the following:
• Forecasting top-line and variable spend metrics in an environment of double-digit monthly growth, and running scenario analyses
• Writing and evolving queries to collect daily and weekly sets of financial and marketplace data to derive actionable insights that factor in stimuli such as supply & demand balance and competition
• Integrating our models with enterprise software solutions to be better track opex
• Models, presentations, and other forms of communicating the above to business partners and senior leadership to effectuate strategic, nimble decisions

Job Description

• Analyze and perform financial and data analysis to monitor business performance
• Build and maintain sophisticated excel models with scenario functionality and thoughtful, defendable assumptions
• Deliver data-driven insights to support actionable strategy and various projects
• Work in a team environment, both within the Strategic Finance team and outside of it with business unit partners / stakeholders
• Assist budgeting processes for the company
• Prepare recurring deliverables such as weekly and monthly management
• Prioritize and execute activities required to support corporate strategies, priorities, and special initiative projects

Background and Experience

Preferred but not necessary

• 2+ years of experience in an investment bank, management consulting firm, hedge fund, private equity or analytics / corporate strategy capacity
• A self-starter who is curious, detail oriented and has a strong work ethic
• Strong analytical, financial, and presentation skills to work on complex business issues with minimum supervision
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to succeed in a highly unstructured, team-oriented environment
• Experience with SQL and data analytics / business intelligence is a plus
