About the Job:
Kent is looking for an Accounts Officer on a permanent basis based in Mumbai. You will be responsible for the accurate recording and reconciliation of Banking transactions in Oracle ERP and be integral to the monthly closing process
Skills and Responsibilities
- Project creation in Oracle and project status changes including project closure.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather necessary data for project establishment, including project scope, forecasts, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Create and manage contract development in the Oracle system to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Liaise with Project Managers to ensure all invoicing activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Preparation of Client required invoice supporting documentation.
- Preparation & submission of Invoices and credit notes on client (including portals). and finance systems.
- Timely invoicing to minimize DSO timeframe.
- Review and validate invoices, credit notes, purchase orders, and other financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all invoicing and project accounting activities comply with company policies and client requirements.
- Support audit and financial control processes through accurate record keeping and documentation.
- Provide status updates on invoicing progress, and outstanding actions.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Finance teams, and Cash Collections teams to resolve billing queries and support cash collection activities.
- Support with resolving timebooking and coding issues
- Prepare and distribute project related financial information and reports, including time and expense reporting.
Assist with as-building deliverables In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
- University Degree or currently studying for an accounting qualification
- Knowledge of VAT
- Oracle Fusion experience required
