Reporting to the Director of Software Development, the Senior SW Tool Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our hardware product manufacturing testing and demo software tools.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated software toolsets for NRT hardware products in manufacturing validation, device configuration, and QC testing.
- Write dedicated test programs for critical hardware components, including the motherboard functions, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, camera, COM ports, USB ports, LAN, audio, and more.
- Build multi-purpose software utilities on Windows/Linux for various customer product integrations, function validation, feature demo, or device configurations.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team, vendors and QC team to phase in new product part numbers, test item adjustments, feature enhancements, and customizations.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing production QC process.
- Familiar with C/C++, Windows API, C# .NET GUI development with Windows Form or WPF.
- Proven experience and knowledge in developing software that interacts with hardware, such as UART, USB, Socket, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with Linux C++ GUI or Windows IOT development is preferred.
- Experience in the Kiosk hardware or IPC industry is a plus.
- Logical thinking, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
