The Administrative Technical Solutions (ATS) team is a collaborative group of experts delivering innovative IT solutions that enhance the administrative experience at SFU. We manage a diverse portfolio of systems, including CRM platforms, pension and benefits, health and counseling services, building and security systems, and business intelligence tools. We also design and support integration and automation services that streamline operations and ensure seamless connectivity across the university. By combining technical expertise with a commitment to service excellence, ATS plays a vital role in driving efficiency, innovation, and digital transformation at SFU.
About the Role
Is primarily responsible for the ongoing administration and technical support for SFU’s enterprise Constituent Relationship Management platform, Salesforce. This role elicits, analyzes, validates, and verifies business objectives, processes and functions for software development and/or integration to optimize the use of technology and improve organizational effectiveness, efficiencies and economies. Working with the CRM Product Owner and development team, this role determines the strategic direction for the implementation of Salesforce both technically and as an advocate for the Salesforce platform in order to best meet the needs of the University. As a subject matter expert, the application administer contributes to the roll out of new features and serve as a key member of the quality assurance team. This role is also responsible for operational support tasks, such as modifying and configuring objects, creating triggers and workflows, managing user accounts, enforcing established data security policies, and monitoring platform health and performance.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical and business analysis expertise and a strong understanding of Salesforce. They excel at technical analysis, quality assurance, and change management, ensuring solutions align with long-term business goals. Skilled in managing multiple projects, they bring exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. They are a collaborative team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of mentoring others and delivering excellent customer service. Highly analytical and detail-oriented, they drive innovation and continuous improvement in technology solutions and business processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or related discipline with two years of experience related to the support and administration of Salesforce administration, interfacing with internal business partners, vendors, and customers to resolve issues and troubleshoot problems; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong knowledge in the use of Salesforce constituent relationship management system.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills and ability to provide creative solutions to problems and business challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of software developers, technical administrators, designers, and business analysts.
- Ability to prioritize while handling large numbers of requests and frequent interruptions.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information
The ideal candidate will be a certified Salesforce Administrator, with additional Salesforce certifications viewed favorably. They will demonstrate experience with relevant technologies and platforms, including HTML, Apex, AEM, JavaScript, CSS, and SOQL. Familiarity with Agentforce is considered an asset.
