Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer (Sales Expert) to join our dynamic real estate and construction organization. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding the client base, and strengthening strategic relationships.
This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional with strong market insight, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering value in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, market dynamics, and lucrative business opportunities.
Initiate and manage sales calls, meetings, and negotiations with prospective clients, investors, and partners.
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to ensure a consistent deal flow.
Identify and pursue new customers to expand the companys client base and market reach.
Set, track, and achieve monthly and annual sales targets in alignment with organizational goals.
Client & Relationship Management
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and investors.
Accompany buyers during property inspections, advising on suitability, value, and investment potential.
Advise property owners and sellers on strategies to enhance property appeal and drive sales.
Strategy, Marketing & Reporting
Promote properties through strategic marketing campaigns and targeted advertisements.
Analyze sales data and market insights to inform growth strategies.
Prepare business proposals, presentations, and investment pitches to attract clients and investors.
Assist in setting annual sales goals and achieving monthly performance targets.
Develop and present business plans supported by market research and accurate reporting.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Business Development or Sales, preferably in real estate or construction.
Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
Solid understanding of the Lagos real estate market and industry best practices.
Proven ability to work independently and proactively.
Excellent presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
Preferred
Experience in market research and business intelligence.
Prior exposure to marketing in real estate, architecture, construction, or design sectors.
