Ready to make a real impact in the financial industry? At Deutsche Börse Group, we'll empower you to grow your career in a supportive and inclusive environment. With our unique business model, driven by 15,000 colleagues around the globe, we actively shape the future of financial markets. Join our One Global Team!

Your area of work:

As Service Owner for our Observability Product, you will contribute to the definition, delivery, and continuous improvement of end-to-end observability capabilities across applications and identities. You will combine elements of product ownership, service management, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure that monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting services are reliable, scalable, and aligned with both engineering and business needs.

Working in a modern, cloud-native environment, you will support the observability vision and help drive operational excellence by translating technical requirements into a clear product roadmap.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the definition and evolution of the observability platform vision and roadmap (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting), translating strategy into actionable initiatives
  • Gather requirements from engineering teams, identify pain points, and translate them into structured backlog items and product improvements
  • Contribute to defining and tracking key success metrics such as SLOs, SLAs, KPIs, and operational benchmarks
  • Support reliable day-to-day service operations by monitoring system performance and availability, ensuring a stable 24/7 observability experience
  • Participate in incident response, including troubleshooting, coordination with SRE and platform teams, and contributing to post-incident analysis and improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, reduction of manual effort, and enhancement of self-service capabilities for engineering teams
  • Ensure transparent communication of platform updates, service performance, and roadmap progress to stakeholders
  • Support cost and vendor management topics, including usage analysis, cost optimization (infrastructure and licensing), and tool evaluation

Your profile:

  • Initial professional experience in service management, ideally in the context of Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps
  • Solid understanding of observability concepts, including metrics, logs, traces, events, and distributed system monitoring
  • Familiarity with operating large-scale monitoring platforms or observability solutions
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL or comparable service management frameworks
  • Ability to balance technical understanding with product-oriented and strategic thinking
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
