Responsibilities:

• Build upon Boardwalk’s long-term strategy and capital allocation plan in identifying new investment and capital recycling opportunities
• Pro-actively develop, foster, and maintain strong relationships with key market participants including multi-family owners, operators, and developers, in addition to brokers and develop strong deal sourcing channels
• Exhibit strong deal sourcing capabilities through utilizing existing relationships and connections to identify non-marketed & marketed opportunities in select North American target markets
• Ability to assess complex real estate and entity level transactions providing complete oversite on deal execution, from idea generation, underwriting, bidding process, negotiation and closing
• Lead detailed due diligence in reaffirming assumptions, reviewing consultant reports and utilizing findings to provide recommendations to the executive team
• Assist team members in understanding complex acquisitions with the ability to actively coach and mentor investment team members
• Prepare and present investment committee memorandums to Boardwalk’s Executive committee

Education and Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant experience leading a team, with North American transaction expertise, and a proven track record of success
• Demonstrated leadership skills, able to inspire and motivate teams and investment strategies
• Related post-secondary degree required
• CFA or MBA designation preferred

Technical Requirements:

• Well-developed market and multi-family real estate knowledge across a range of complex transaction types, with seasoned deal execution experience required
• Strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, investors and external partners
• Tenacious business negotiation skills with the ability to communicate with a high degree of professionalism and navigate complex legal documents to complete deals

• Results-oriented, accurate, with keen attention to detail
• Sound judgment and a high level of integrity with the ability to address sensitive and confidential information and make good decisions under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams and manage resources effectively
• Ability to react and respond favorably, manage conflict and resolve problems in a professionally
• Travel will be required to assess markets, potential acquisitions and attend conferences
