Description

The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and business development initiatives within an assigned territory/region for ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. This role serves as a strong developmental opportunity for individuals seeking to advance into more senior positions within the Company. The position requires a solid understanding of ISO 9001 and related management system certification schemes, with broader knowledge of other management system certification standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, IATF 16949, and AS9100 considered a plus.

What You Will Do:

  • Main objective is to sell ABS QE services using the strength of local affiliates’ business structure.
  • Define and maintain target lists of prospect clients for accounts to be targeted in the region. Client prospecting in the target region.
  • Develop a sales strategy for the region to achieve defined sales targets.
  • Provides sales forecast data as well as other market and customer information for use in sales planning.
  • Stays within expense budgets and observes Company sales policies.
  • Produce local proposals for clients/prospects under ABS QE procedures and pricing guidelines.
  • Actively follow up on all proposals and conduct client presentations where required.
  • Provides support to operations as necessary to ensure customers are receiving appropriate service.
  • Assists in collections as necessary.
  • Communicates regularly with the Director of Business Development or Country Manager regarding opportunities, challenges, and any other business matters.
  • Participates in special projects and teams as necessary to support the overall development of the business.
  • Meets or exceeds delegated sales targets.
  • While the position is remote, regular travel (50%+) to client sites and project locations is a core part of the role.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university or equivalent business/quality-related experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in the industry is preferred.

It Would Be Nice If You Had:

Business experience in manufacturing and/or technical service industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Self-motivated professional with a track record of sales leadership.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and related management system certification schemes.
  • High energy professional with a commitment to succeed in sales and business development.
  • Facile with computers, both in preparing presentations and communications and in working within ABS QE’s operating platforms.
  • Familiarity with management systems is helpful. Otherwise, the ability to learn new areas quickly will be critical.
  • Sensitive to multicultural environments.
  • Excellent communicator both with customers and the sales team.
  • Focus on the result; strong desire to achieve objectives despite challenges.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.

Salary

$85K - $105K

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to the Director of Business Development or Country Manager of ABS Quality Evaluations Inc.
