Description

Simon & Schuster Canada is seeking a creative, organized, and dynamic Marketing Associate on a contract basis to develop and execute title-specific marketing campaigns on a wide variety of books and author brands and support our company’s digital strategy.

This role is a full-time, hybrid (2-3 days in office) contract position covering parental leave. The contract will last approximately 12-14 months, with a prorated salary of $55,000-60,000.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate will be an imaginative, highly detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and strategic professional – with 2-4 years’ experience working in a marketing capacity – who can multi-task, set priorities, and manage a multitude of complex projects within budget and on tight timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop, and execute integrated marketing campaigns for key titles and author brands across Simon & Schuster Canada’s domestic and international lists.
  • Communicate detailed campaign updates directly to authors, editors, publicists, and sales teams.
  • Support our team’s digital marketing initiatives including but not limited to email marketing, content marketing, and social media strategy.
  • Participate in the planning and preparation for all seasonal conference meetings.

  • Contribute to seasonal and themed marketing campaigns.
  • Provide marketing support for retailers, supporting promotions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, events and festivals as needed.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed, supporting the company’s strategic goals and editorial vision.
