Location: 100% Remote / Virtual
Must Reside In: Austin, TX or any of the following states – AL, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, NC, NV, OH, OR, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI.
Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Compensation: $45,000–$55,000 base salary + commission & bonuses
OTE: $75,000–$90,000+ (uncapped)
Position Overview
Fourlane is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support revenue growth through outbound sales, lead qualification, and consultative selling. This role focuses on identifying and engaging small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) that can benefit from Fourlane’s accounting software, QuickBooks solutions, payroll services, merchant services, and financial consulting.
The BDR is responsible for prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, pipeline management, and deal progression, serving as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This role requires experience in B2B sales, outbound prospecting, CRM usage, and quota attainment.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute outbound sales activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and virtual meetings
- Identify, qualify, and engage B2B prospects and SMB decision-makers
- Conduct discovery calls to assess business needs, pain points, budget, and ROI
- Position and sell accounting software, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise, payroll solutions, merchant services, and financial advisory services
- Develop and present customized proposals and solution recommendations
- Collaborate with sales engineers, consultants, and technical specialists during demos and evaluations
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closed-won handoff
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar), including activities, notes, and pipeline stages
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas (approximately 40 deals per quarter)
- Handle pricing discussions, objections, and contract terms professionally
- Support smooth client onboarding through coordination with account managers and consulting teams
- Research target accounts and tailor messaging for effective engagement
- Build and maintain professional relationships and referral networks
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience and brand consistency
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration to improve sales processes and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, outbound prospecting, or sales development
- Proven success meeting sales quotas, KPIs, or deal-based targets
- Experience selling or supporting SaaS, financial software, accounting software, or professional services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a high-volume sales environment
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and accountable
- Comfortable engaging executives, owners, and financial decision-makers
This is a fully remote role. However, you must reside in one of the following states:
Arizona, Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Enterprise
- Intuit ecosystem experience strongly preferred
- Background in accounting, finance, payroll, or merchant services
- Remote sales experience
