Description
Lead the establishment of a centralised data analytics capability that enables integrated, real-time and forward-looking insights across the Finance ecosystem (financial management, treasury operations including confirmation and settlement and shared payments & support). This role drives enhanced performance management, operational efficiency and transparency by strengthening data visibility, streamlining Finance processes and embedding data-driven decision-making across the Bank.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Strategy & Transformation Leadership
- Define and execute the strategy to position analytics as a core enabler for performance and decision-making.
- Drive the transition from traditional reporting to insight-led, forward-looking Finance capabilities.
- Embed a data-driven culture across Finance and business functions.
2. Data Ecosystem & Integration
- Establish an integrated data environment spanning financial management, treasury operations and shared services.
- Standardise data definitions, metrics and reporting frameworks to ensure consistency and comparability.
- Enable a single platform of data information across Finance systems.
3. Enterprise Reporting & Performance Visibility
- Oversee development of enterprise dashboards providing real-time, end-to-end visibility across Finance.
- Enable proactive monitoring of financial performance and operational efficiency.
4. Advanced Analytics & Strategic Insight
- Lead deep-dive analysis across financial performance, treasury flows and transactional operations.
- Deliver forward-looking insights through scenario modelling and predictive analysis.
- Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for management.
5. Digital Enablement & Capability Building
- Drive adoption of analytics tools, automation and system integration in Finance department.
- Build team capabilities and enhance data accuracy/integrity across Finance stakeholders.
- Partner with IT to strengthen systems integration and data accessibility.
6. Stakeholder Influence & Business Partnering
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management through insight-driven engagement.
- Influence decision-making supported by strong data and evidence-based recommendations.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across Finance functions.
7. Governance, Risk & Data Integrity
- Establish and enforce robust data governance frameworks ensuring accuracy, consistency and auditability.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks related to data quality, reporting and system dependencies.
8. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Champion innovation in finance analytics through adoption of emerging tools and methodologies.
- Continuously enhance analytics capabilities to improve efficiency, insight quality and strategic impact.
Academic Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or related discipline. Postgraduate and/or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 6–10 years in finance, analytics or reporting roles, with leadership exposure.
