We are looking for an experienced and energetic Vessel Operator for one of our global shipping client to join their Dry Bulk operations team. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of dry vessel operations experiences and possesses excellent working attitude. Having work experiences in operating handysize/ Supramax or Ultramax vessels will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Performing all day-to-day operational activities of vessels from delivery till redelivery, including finalization of accounts with owners and charters after redelivery
• Preparation of lay-time calculations, hire statements, draft freight invoices, appointing agents through DA-Desk and all other jobs assigned by management and senior officials and all other activities for the closure of a fixture/file/voyage
• Working with the Operations Department/Account Manager/Chartering Manager and other senior staff to retain clients
• Working with the Operations team to develop new solutions to meet client needs
• Assist with improving internal processes for better productivity
• Ensuring smooth correspondence between owners, charterers and vessels managers are handled promptly and efficiently
• Cargo care planning, dunnage/securing/lashing, cargo movement and monitoring while loading at sea and discharging
• Assist with the loading and discharging operations for both cargo and vessel to ensure best possible turnaround
• Assist with the claims and Charter party disputes/discrepancies between parties with close coordination with legal department
• Assist with any additional duties as assigned by the company from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Good communication skills spoken and written English
• Minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on Handy and Panamax
• Experience using IMOS is an advantage
• Good negotiation skills and people management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and can work independently as well as in a team
