Job Summary
The Revenue Analyst is responsible for supporting the maximization of cluster rooms revenue through effective inventory management, pricing accuracy, and enhanced system automation. This role serves as the primary analytical hub for the Revenue Management team—generating critical reports, conducting market competitive analysis, and maintaining property management and reservation systems. Additionally, the role ensures exceptional system maintenance, supports property-level strategy communication, and upholds the brand's high standards of guest relations and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Administration & Strategy Support
- Reporting & Analytics: Accurately generate, process, and update daily, month-end, and market-specific sales strategy reports (including group pace and productivity).
- Meeting Preparation: Prepare agendas, critiques tracking, competitive analyses, and supporting data for market sales strategy meetings.
- System Maintenance: Handle daily system checks, input rate hurdles, monitor forecasted demand, and update group forecasting.
- Technical Escalate: Timely escalate technical reservation and property management system (PMS) issues to the correct support desk.
- Onboarding: Assist with training new associates on revenue management tools and systems.
2. Inventory Control & Pricing
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing rooms inventory and maintaining accurate reservation system information to maximize cluster revenue.
- Rate Restricting: Support the management of room authorizations, rates, and restrictions; communicate strategy and restrictions clearly to properties.
- Competitive Analysis: Facilitate completion of Competitive Pricing Analysis and generate essential data for Revenue Management meetings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in data entry, keyboarding, and utilizing specialized hotel software, reservation systems, and spreadsheet packages.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to synthesize complex data into forward-looking information for forecasting and financial balancing.
- Interpersonal Skills: Tactful, diplomatic, and comfortable handling sensitive employee or guest issues with confidentiality.
