Job Title: QA Automation- Lead

You will be part of a highly capable QA team developing a test automation framework using the Java programming language. We’re looking for automation engineers who have hands-on experience in both Web and Mobile testing. You are a perfect fit, if you are energetic, enthusiastic, and can take ownership with continuous learning and an improving mindset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• You will own end-to-end testing and will set best practices in collaboration with the engineering manager.

• You will create necessary automation libraries and frameworks as per requirement and will build automation tests respectively.

• You will ensure health by putting in the necessary checks and balances wherever appropriate.

• You are also responsible for driving meetings, new initiatives, and innovation.

• You will participate in all day-to-day QA tasks.

• Research into new test/validation technologies/methodologies

• Work with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality releases

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of SDETs and Sr SDETs|.

• Encourage and drive initiatives that promote innovation and technical excellence

• Constantly look for improvements in software development and testing processes

You are a good fit If

• 6-8 years of professional software testing experience with hands-on experience with Python/Java programming language with a very strong emphasis on automated testing using Selenium/Webdriver, Appium for Automating tests for dWeb, mWeb, and mobile native (Android & IOS) apps in an agile development environment.

• Hands-on experience in setting up the entire CI/CD Automation framework and automating the entire process & communication channels.

• Must have working knowledge in building and executing automation scripts

• Hands-on experience in testing SOAP/Rest services

• Clear understanding of architecture and HL & LL design across all systems.

• Experience in any Databases such as MySQL, MongoDB is a big plus

• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms and good object-oriented design and coding skills.

• Understanding of Performance testing and Performance related tools such as JMeter / Gatling or other relevant tools.

• Hands-on experience with Test Cycle Management tools like JIRA or relevant

• Test strategy formulation will include decomposing the business and technical requirements into test case scenarios, defining test data requirements, managing test case creation, devising contingencies plans, and other preparation activities

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent production releases.

• Understanding of performance and efficiency with a strong customer focus.

• Work cross-functionally to collaborate with designers and developers

• Be empathetic towards customers and appreciate the user's experience

Good To Have

• Testing experience of Micro-services hosted platform

• Understanding of Kafka, GraphQL, and Redis concepts

• Exposure to various development & testing tools such as Git/Jenkins/Bitbucket

• AWS, Azure & Google Cloud Concepts

• Basic Unix/Linux/ADB commands and shell/python scripting.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
