Purpose


The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS and FMLA/Leave of Absence. Responsible for collaborating with and assisting the Human Resources Director on the overall administration of policies, programs, processes, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the hospital.

Responsibilities


Performs Human Resources related duties in the following functional areas: recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS and FMLA/Leave of Absence. Interfaces and communicates well with all employees at all levels in the organization and external customers. Uses independent judgment to perform day to day tasks while exhibiting an unwavering commitment to customer service and impartial ethical character.

Qualifications

Education


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

 

Experience


  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience preferred.

  • Must exhibit a professional manner as well as possess a tactful, helpful, caring attitude at all times with hospital employees.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all matters discussed, exhibit fairness and diplomacy, initiative and good judgment.
  • Must have knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, effective oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and function in dynamic situations with competing projects and deadlines.
