How will you make an impact?

The Senior Program Manager, Procurement Category Strategy & Performance Management serves as a core leader within the Procurement Enablement function, responsible for building scalable processes, governance, planning capabilities, and performance management disciplines across the Procurement organization. Leading a team of program managers, you will implement enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen category planning, standardize procurement governance, improve data and taxonomy consistency, and enhance performance visibility. Working across a highly matrixed global environment, you will partner with Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Digital, and Business leaders to deliver scalable capabilities that improve decision-making, execution, and business outcomes.

What will you do?

Enterprise Program Leadership

  • Lead enterprise-wide Procurement Enablement initiatives from strategy through execution, adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage multi-year roadmaps aligned with Procurement transformation priorities and business objectives
  • Establish governance frameworks, operating models, prioritization methodologies, and execution standards
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to improve scalability, consistency, and execution effectiveness

Category Strategy Enablement

  • Develop and implement standardized category strategy frameworks across global Procurement categories
  • Partner with Category Managers and Procurement leaders to improve strategic planning, category maturity, and execution alignment
  • Standardize category planning methodologies, templates, governance processes, and best practices
  • Enable Procurement teams to strengthen strategic category management capabilities and long-term value creation
  • Support procurement transformation initiatives focused on sourcing effectiveness, operating model maturity, and organizational capability development

Governance & Performance Management

  • Lead procurement governance initiatives that improve performance transparency, accountability, and decision-making
  • Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, KPI frameworks, and reporting processes
  • Drive procurement taxonomy standardization, master data governance, and reporting consistency across systems and business units
  • Partner with Digital, Data & Analytics, and Procurement Operations teams to improve data quality and reporting capabilities
  • Establish governance forums, performance reviews, and escalation processes that strengthen execution discipline

Stakeholder Leadership & Influence

  • Influence and align senior leaders across Procurement, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Digital, Sustainability, and Business functions
  • Lead executive governance reviews, strategic planning discussions, and cross-functional decision-making forums
  • Serve as a strategic partner between Procurement leadership, category teams, and enterprise stakeholders
  • Communicate program progress, business outcomes, risks, and opportunities to executive audiences

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement effectiveness through process optimization, standardization, digital enablement, and analytics
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase planning consistency, operational efficiency, and organizational scalability
  • Establish best practices and lessons learned that strengthen Procurement Enablement capabilities
  • Benchmark industry best practices and recommend improvements that advance procurement maturity and performance

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Adoption of standardized category strategy, governance, and planning frameworks across Procurement
  • Enhanced procurement performance visibility through scalable KPIs, reporting, and executive dashboards
  • Improved procurement data quality, taxonomy consistency, and reporting governance
  • Successful delivery of Procurement Enablement initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Increased operational scalability, consistency, and cross-functional alignment across the enterprise

How will you get here?

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or related discipline (MBA preferred)
  • Experience working in regulated industries (life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise programs and transformation initiatives within Procurement, Supply Chain, Procurement Excellence, or transformation environments
  • • 3+ years people management experience leading procurement teams, including coaching and development
  • • Strong strategic sourcing and category management process knowledge, including AQSCIR methodology
  • Strong practitioner experience in Category Management, Procurement Operations, Procurement Excellence, or enterprise PMO environments preferred
  • Experience driving procurement governance, performance management, taxonomy standardization, or operating model transformation initiatives strongly preferred
  • Experience operating within global, regulated, and highly matrixed organizations preferred
  • Experience leading organizational change management and enterprise process standardization initiatives preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong program leadership and strategic execution capabilities
  • Deep understanding of Category Management, procurement operating models, and procurement transformation principles
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect procurement performance to operational and financial outcomes
  • Experience developing governance frameworks, KPI structures, and executive reporting models
  • Knowledge of procurement taxonomy, master data governance, and enterprise reporting practices preferred
  • Continuous improvement experience (Lean Six Sigma, PPI, or equivalent) preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, procurement systems, reporting platforms, and program management tools
  • Willingness to travel 15–30% annually
