The Finance Manager will be responsible for the management of the company's financial, tax, accounting, and treasury activities for the Brazilian and Uruguayan entities, ensuring that monthly closings are performed accurately and within the deadlines established by the headquarters.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Financial Planning and Management:

• Leading the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of the Cash Flow, ensuring financial health and working capital optimization.

• Assisting the Brazil Director in preparing the annual Budget by providing key data.

Treasury and Contracts:

• Managing treasury processes, including bank management, financial investments, rate negotiation, and balance optimization.

• Overseeing the accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payment execution and precise recording into management reporting systems.

• Ensuring the accuracy and control of supplier contracts.

Tax and Fiscal Compliance:

• Expertise in the calculation, review, and compliance of the main direct and indirect taxes for companies under the Lucro Real regime, with a focus on:

  • ISS, PIS and COFINS (cumulative and non-cumulative regimes)

  • CSLL and IRPJ

  • Withholding Taxes (IRRF, PCC, INSS, ISSQN) on services taken and provided.

• Proactively monitoring, modeling, and planning for the impacts of the new taxes effective in 2026 due to the tax reform (IBS / CBS).

• Ensuring the correct oversight, review, and submission of all ancillary obligations (handled by the third-party accounting provider), including but not limited to:

  • SPED Contribuições (EFD PIS/COFINS)

  • ECF (Escrituração Contábil Fiscal)

  • DCTF / DCTFWeb

Personnel and Social Charges (Management Oversight):

• Supervising and ensuring compliance in Payroll and Termination/Severance calculations, verifying adherence to all CLT (Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho) requirements.

• Thorough knowledge and strict monitoring of Social Charges (INSS, FGTS), union agreements (Convenções Coletivas), and all eSocial reporting events.

• Ensuring adherence to all local labor legislation.

Financial reporting:

• Calculating and regularly updating financial estimates including short and long term bonus calculations.

• Reviewing financial reporting packages prepared by external accounting partners for accuracy and completeness.

• On a monthly basis, mapping and uploading this financial information into the company’s consolidated reporting system (Netsuite).

• Managing contractor invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

• Providing support to the Canadian finance team and being the main point of contact for financial questions for Brazil and Uruguay.

• Hold a Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, or related fields

• Have 5+ years of experience in a Financial Manager role, preferably in a service-based business or the IT sector, within a multinational environment

• Have excellent Portuguese and English written and verbal communication skills

• Possess deep knowledge of Brazilian tax regimes (Lucro Real, Lucro Presumido) and their complex calculation methodologies

• Have proven experience managing and reviewing Brazilian ancillary obligations (SPED, ECF, eSocial, DCTF)

• Have deep familiarity with Brazilian labor law (CLT), social contribution calculations (INSS, FGTS), and eSocial reporting

• Have a solid understanding of accounting (BRGAAP / CPCs) and tax legislation

• Have advanced proficiency in Excel

• Hold a CRC (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade) certification

• Have experience with Netsuite

• Are fluent in Spanish
