Job/Department Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Farm Director, the incumbent will coordinate the daily operations of the Patton Family Sheep Unit at the University Farm, including oversight of all sheep, grazing/pasture coordination, basic record-keeping, and coordination of student employees.

Required Education and Experience:

Equivalent to four years of experience providing instructional support services for a related unit or discipline, or in producing materials or supplies or repairing equipment in a discipline related to specialty area to which assigned.
OR
Equivalent to two years of college with 16 semester units in courses involving extensive use of materials, supplies, or equipment and in a discipline related to the area to which assigned may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
OR
Equivalent to four years of college with 16 semester units in courses involving extensive use of materials, supplies, or equipment and in a discipline related to the specialty area to which assigned may be substituted for two years of the required experience.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Animal Science or related field.
• Proficient with the use of computers.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm

CSU Classification Salary Range: $60,528 (Step 1) - $88,176 (Step 20) per year.

Throughout employment in this position, the incumbent must maintain a valid California’s Driver’s License as well as continued completion and compliance of the CSU Defensive Driver’s Training course.
