Carnegie China, the Singapore-based research center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, seeks a full-time Communications Manager to build and elevate Carnegie China's brand and reputation through content marketing, convening, and media management. This position will report directly to the Center Director.
In coordination with Carnegie China's Director, the Communications Manager will develop and implement communications strategy for research and outreach. Responsibilities will include promoting Carnegie China scholars and research through social media, email, and traditional media; managing the content pipeline for the center, including organizing and coordinating editorial reviews and publishing work on our website; building out new multimedia offering including video and audio; lead on sustaining and managing programs and events, including developing new convening concepts in Singapore and maintaining engagements, both virtual and in-person; and establishing and maintaining relationships with traditional media as well as new media.
The position requires 5-7+ years of related experience working in communications, ideally related to international relations. Fluency in both Chinese and English is required. The ideal candidate will already have a strong network of contacts within both traditional media and new media. The ideal candidate will be a well organized self-starter with excellent attention to detail who thrives in an entrepreneurial and performance-oriented team environment.
