Description
Technical Order Entry / Customer Service Representative
The Technical Order Entry / Customer Service Representative is responsible for accurately entering complex glass orders, managing customer communications, and supporting custom product quoting. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders involving dimensions (length, width, thickness) and glass type.
- Provide customers with status updates and promise ship dates.
- Prepare and enter quotes, including commercial project quotes and custom product calculations.
- Educate customers on products and processes, helping them select appropriate options and sizes.
- Verify order accuracy before submission to the manufacturing team.
- Resolve customer issues, trace order progress, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and customer service orientation.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage customer needs via phone, email, and in person.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with measurement and product specifications.
