Replenishment Planner Role

Pay Grade: 6-10

Position Summary

  • Manages the production and replenishment of make to stock inventory of at both forward deployed locations and Sylvamo paper mills.
  • Supports the management of all inventories in the network including make-to-stock, make-to-order, non-conforming product, quality held, and joblot inventory.
  • Drives integrated alignment between our customers, Customer Service, Sales, Supply Planning, the Center of Transportation Excellence, and our mills using defined SAP operating model processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained by understanding and applying Inventory Science, analyzing forecasts, understanding consumption patterns, leveraging collaborative forecasting, reviewing demand variability, monitoring business conditions, and communicating with Customer Service and Sales to drive accurate inventory replenishments.
  • Service customers by understanding and responding to customer requirements. Recommends inventory program changes, service platforms modifications, and process enhancements.
  • Identify and correct the root cause issues that impact our customers, warehouses, distribution, mills, production schedule, inventory and overall supply chain.
  • Minimize the impact of stock outs by finding alternative sources of supply, addressing one-time/ongoing service issues, and correcting root cause service issues.
  • Minimize cost to serve by utilizing the best mode of transportation for replenishments, participating in non-price improvement projects, and identifying opportunities for reducing cost such as SKU rationalization efforts, grade consolidations.
  • Proactively responds to internal requests utilizing knowledge of upstream and downstream processes
  • Effectively use Replenishment Planning tools and reports to proactively identify and resolve issues

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to work under pressure to resolve immediate issues while meeting scheduled business and customer deadlines.
  • Balancing the daily replenishment planning work necessary to service our customers and meet key inventory metrics with longer term process improvement projects.
  • Building relationships with key resources throughout the organization and specifically in Customer Service, Sales, Supply Planning, the Center of Transportation Excellence, the Center of Excellence, our mills, and our customers.
  • Appropriate and proactive communication of business updates to key stakeholders.
  • Leveraging the SAP enabled operating model process to increase efficiency and alignment across the business.
  • 1.5+ years of supply chain experience, preferably with experience in multiple functions
  • North American Papers experience
  • Knowledge of Sylvamo’ s integrated operating model
  • Experience using SAP
  • Demonstrated understanding of cross-functional supply chain operating model processes

  • Understanding of inventory management & science methodologies
  • Knowledge of facility/business operations
  • Strong technical & analytical skills, including leveraging MS Excel skills
  • Demonstrated track record of clear and proactive communication
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to achieve results in a team environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Forestry or Engineering related fields preferred) or equivalent, relevant work experience required (at least 1.5 to 3years’ experience) or a combination of an associate degree with relevant work experience (at least 1.5 to 3years’ experience)
