A well-established and growing litigation practice is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate with at least four years of substantive litigation experience to join its New York office.

The Opportunity

The attorney in this role will have the opportunity to:

• 
  Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
• 
  Work closely with partners on litigation strategy and case development
• 
  Conduct detailed legal research to support strategic decision-making
• 
  Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, Orders to Show Cause, and other substantive litigation documents
• 
  Take and defend depositions
• 
  Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, arbitrations, trials, and appeals
• 
  Communicate directly with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• 
  Monitor legal developments and industry trends impacting clients and litigation strategy
• 
  Contribute to the firm's thought leadership efforts through article writing and professional publications
• 
  Support business development and practice growth initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

• 
  Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• 
  Admission to the New Jersey Bar
• 
  4+ years of commercial litigation experience in a sophisticated legal environment
• 
  Experience managing litigation matters and drafting substantive legal documents
• 
  Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• 
  Ability to handle matters independently while collaborating with partners and colleagues
• 
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation/document management technology

Preferred:

• 
  Admission to both New York and New Jersey Bars
• 
  Experience with New York CPLR, New Jersey Rules of Court, and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• 
  Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and electronic document management
• 
  Experience with complex commercial disputes, arbitration, and appellate matters

Compensation & Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of:

$180,000 – $225,000 annually

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
