We are looking for a Head of Accounting & Tax to lead and strengthen our global accounting, controllership, and tax coordination functions across multiple jurisdictions. This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, reinforcing governance and compliance frameworks, and supporting strategic decision-making in a high-volume, multi-currency fintech environment. Will oversee Accounting, Reconciliations, and Tax coordination, ensuring alignment between operational flows, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance as the company continues its international expansion.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated and local financial statements under IFRS and applicable local GAAP.

• Oversee revenue recognition policies and ensure consistency between operational data, reconciliations, and accounting records.

• Strengthen and maintain robust internal control and governance frameworks.

• Supervise accounting operations through the Accounting Manager and ensure integrity of the general ledger.

• Oversee the Reconciliations function to ensure accuracy of high-volume transaction flows, bank reconciliations, and provider balances.

• Coordinate global tax compliance through the Tax Analyst and external advisors, ensuring timely and accurate filings.

• Support transfer pricing implementation and intercompany structure alignment.

• Partner with the Treasury team to monitor cash flow, safeguarding balances, and working capital.

• Coordinate external and internal audits across jurisdictions.

• Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance in all operating markets.

• Drive process optimization, automation initiatives, and ERP improvements.

• Provide financial insights and analytical support to senior leadership (CFO, Operations, Product, Sales).

• Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Controlling, Accounting, or Financial Reporting roles, necessarily with at least 3 years of experience within the fintech industry.

• Experience in high-volume, multi-currency transaction environments.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and multi-entity / multi-country structures.

• Proven experience managing statutory audits and working with international advisors.

• Solid understanding of tax compliance in multi-jurisdiction environments (experience coordinating external tax advisors is required).

• Experience with revenue recognition and complex reconciliation environments.

• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP systems.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and process discipline.

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams.

• Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, international setting.

• Fluent English (written and spoken).
