SUMMARY
The Customer Service Associate member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, crafting high-quality coffee beverages, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. They act as the "front line" of the business, engaging with customers, handling transactions, and ensuring efficient service during fast-paced shifts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting Customers: Welcoming customers immediately and warmly upon entry.
- Taking Orders: Accurately taking orders via the POS system, noting customizations (roast preference, dairy, syrup).
- Drink Crafting: Preparing and serving hot/cold beverages (espresso, lattes, pour-overs, teas, cold brews) following specific recipes and company standards.
- Quality Control: Dialing in grinders, measuring coffee, and ensuring the correct texture/temperature for steamed milk.
- Food Prep: Preparing and serving food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and soup.
- Restocking: Constantly replenishing cups, lids, syrups, pastries, and dairy products to maintain workflow.
- Inventory Tracking: Monitoring stock levels and notifying management of low supplies.
- Opening/Closing: Setting up or shutting down equipment, sanitizing machines, and balancing the cash register at the end of the shift.
- Cash Handling: Processing cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Providing a positive and cheerful customer service to all staff, students and visitors to Victory.
- Assists in prepping food and drink areas in Victory Café.
- This position includes weekend shifts and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Food Handlers Permit
- Barista Knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Customer Service oriented
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Good communication skills including written and verbal skills.
- Some experience working in a POS system and cash handling.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.

- Continuous repetitive motion with hand(s) and arm(s), such as grasping, gripping and turning. Stands and/or walks continuously throughout shift.
