At Eni, we are looking for a Tax Accountant to join Eni Natural Energies Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, you will support tax preparation and advisory activities, using your knowledge of tax legislation to ensure taxes are paid in compliance with applicable laws, while optimising efficiency and benefiting from any available tax advantages and exemptions. You will also be responsible for maximising VAT refunds, as well as overseeing G&A cost allocation, stock management, and related accounting entries.

Main responsibilities:

• Tax Services: Ensure full compliance with tax regulations by managing VAT, WHT and business licence tax, preparing returns and transfer pricing documentation, handling VAT refunds and tax audits, advising internal stakeholders, supporting expat tax reporting, and providing cash forecasts to tax authorities.
• General & Administration (G&A) Cost Allocation: Manage monthly G&A cost allocation, including data input, validation against budget, SAP postings, inter-block recharges, and timely clearance of intercompany accounts.
• Stock Management: Maintain accurate stock records by updating movements (quantities and values) and reconciling data between SAP and logistics systems.
• Accounting Booking & SAP processing: Prepare and post accounting entries in SAP (including taxes, accruals, allocations and recharges), reconcile and clear balance sheet accounts (tax, AR/AP), and manage HQ funding reconciliation.

Skills and experience required:

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Banking or Accounting.
• Vietnamese national with professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Significant experience in a similar role.
• Strong digital literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and SAP/accounting systems.
• Solid knowledge of tax legislation.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
