Description

We are looking for a Commercial Finance & Accounting Specialist to support financial accounting, commercial finance operations, and sales support activities across the Middle East and Africa region.

The role acts as an interface between Finance, Sales, Operations, Shared Services, and external stakeholders. It combines accounting expertise with commercial and operational finance responsibilities to ensure accurate reporting, effective order-to-cash management, strong internal controls, and business support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, accruals, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Support VAT, tax, annual reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity through reconciliations, journal entries, and account reviews.
  • Review invoices and support cost allocation, accrual accounting, and intercompany recharge processes.
  • Monitor customer receivables, overdue balances, and collection activities.
  • Review blocked orders, credit limits, payment behavior, and customer master data.
  • Act as a finance contact for customers regarding invoices, payments, statements, and order-to-cash inquiries.
  • Support partner rebate, incentive, and claimback programs.
  • Prepare and improve reports such as open orders, daily sales, customer performance, and sell-out data.
  • Support regional sales teams with daily operations and commercial activities.

Qualifications

 

  • Professional degree in accounting, Finance, Chartered Accountant.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to book-to-report processes.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial regulations.
  • Experience in commercial finance, accounts receivable, credit management, and cash-flow management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across regions.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel is preferred.
