Description

As an PSR performance engineer in the Database performance area, you will be a leading contributor in improving the PSR aspects. You will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures for the FA databases. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications.

You will work is a non-routine environment solving various challenging performance issues associated to SaaS service and internal testing databases. Cloud Engineering teams will not only rely on your technical leadership to help resolve issues but also look to you to provide comprehensive approaches and solutions to unique problems. You will be an individual contributor and team member/player that provides both technical direction and mentorship to others.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering or related experience in the following areas:

- Knowledge of Enterprise software suites
- Extensive knowledge of DB and SQL, Transaction/locking concepts, schema design, performance monitoring and tuning, and ability to write/maintain sql/plsql code

- Knowledge of Oracle Database administration and architecture

- Strong Architectural concepts around Cloud Computing and base software Development

- Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, good and clean code practices, security/performance‑by‑design practices, debugging discipline

- Experience with load testing tools, profiling tools and regression testing, observability (logging/metrics/tracing),

- Ability to lead design reviews, evaluating new technologies, estimating and managing small projects, and mentoring teams.

- MS or BS in Engineering or computer Science

- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies

- Knowledge and know-how in latest AI advents is a big plus as AI based tools development is in the pipeline

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $306,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
