Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project s technical aspects and serving as the main liaison for all application-related activities. The position demands close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the solutions meet business needs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. The engineer actively manages the application lifecycle, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving the system to support evolving requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for application development.
- Ensure timely delivery of software components while maintaining adherence to quality standards.
- Document technical specifications and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing knowledge to foster professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with A&D Aftermarket.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and application integration.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
- Experience in configuring and customizing packaged software solutions.
- Familiarity with system architecture and design principles related to enterprise applications.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
