By providing a wide array of benefits, engagement programs, unique perks, discounts, and, of course, a lot of fun, we encourage our team members to be and belong at Southworth!

The Benefits: We understand everyone has a unique set of needs: we want to support you as best we can so you can be your best self with us. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive options for medical, physical, and mental health and wellness, life insurance, paid time off, and more.

Grow with us! The sky is the limit for talented, driven individuals. With our ever-expanding portfolio, we offer opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. We look forward to growing together.

Be YOU with us! At Southworth, we are working to redefine what it means to be a private club. We seek talent from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and cultures to ensure an innovative edge. Here, diversity is a driver of our success.

About The Abaco Club: The Abaco Club is a paradise for the soul. It is an unassuming haven crafted in the pursuit of connection, happiness and belonging. Here, members unwind in barefoot luxury in island-inspired homes, golfers take on the #1 golf course in The Bahamas, and generations come together on 2 miles of uninterrupted white sands on one of the most pristine beaches on Earth.

Working at The Abaco Club means being part of a vibrant community that values your knowledge and offers opportunities for professional growth and development. Here, you can turn your passion for hospitality into a rewarding career while enjoying the stunning scenery of this beautiful place. Become a part of our team and help us show what makes the Abaco Club truly extraordinary.

The Opportunity: The IT Technician will be the primary expert responsible for the end-to-end operations of our communication and entertainment infrastructure. This includes the installation and maintenance of structured cabling, the management of high-speed internet connectivity, and the configuration and daily support of Yealink phone lines. You will ensure all systems are fully operational to support business continuity and provide seamless experience for all users.

Duties and Functions

  • Yealink Phone Operations:
    • Perform full setup, provisioning, and firmware updates for Yealink IP phones.
    • Troubleshoot common Yealink issues such as device-offline status, registration failures, and audio quality problems (jitter/latency).
    • Manage the web gateway to configure SIP accounts, transport protocols, and network settings.
    • Maintain the telephony system, including creating user accounts and configuring call flows, voicemail, and extensions.
  • Internet & Network Connectivity:
    • Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi networks to ensure constant uptime.
    • Diagnose internet connectivity drops and coordinate with ISPs for service resolution.
    • Optimize network performance for VoIP traffic by configuring Quality of Service (QoS) and managing firewalls.
  • Cable TV & Physical Services:
    • Install, test, and repair cable TV infrastructure, including set-top boxes, splitters, and decoders.
    • Perform structured cabling (Cat5e/6 and fiber) to support data and video delivery.
    • Maintain cable system reliability through regular inspections and “drop system” troubleshooting.

Qualification Standards

  • Technical Knowledge: Proven experience with SIP/VoIP protocols and networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Physical Proficiency: Ability to work with hands to pull cable, mount hardware, and use specialized tools like cable testers and drills.
  • Experience: At least 2 years as a Cable Technician or IT Support professional with VoIP exposure.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking and customer service skills to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our communication and entertainment systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands-on capability, and a service-oriented mindset to ensure a seamless experience for all users while supporting overall business continuity.
