We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in EU public affairs and policy communications, ideally gained within a consultancy environment. The role requires a strong track record in business development and client relationship management, alongside excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project delivery skills.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage teams to deliver relevant programmes for clients.

  • Deliver new business opportunities and initiatives.

  • Prepare and deliver written proposals to the standards expected within Penta.

  • Market the business.

  • Be a leadership resource for junior employees.

  • Monitor and anticipate revenues and profitability of client accounts in support of the Partner.

General Responsibilities:

  • Lead client account teams to deliver high quality advice, tactics and materials to meet objectives.

  • Foster good client relationships.

  • Take responsibility for problem solving in client and team scenarios.

  • Play an active role in creating and converting new business opportunities. 

  • Represent the agency at new business and other meetings as needed.

  • Create/Maintain a happy and supportive working environment for team members, and act as a mentor to junior colleagues.

  • Ensure all team members are aware of objectives and responsibilities; be able to deliver honest, constructive feedback.

  • In consultation with the Partner, support the career development of team members and make recommendations for training as appropriate.

  • Complete timesheets and all other reporting and administrative responsibilities in an accurate and timely fashion.

  • Perform any other duties that are assigned to you by your manager and for which you have been provided with reasonable knowledge and training in respect of such responsibilities.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in EU public affairs and policy communications, ideally gained working in a consultancy.

  • Track record in business development and client relationship management.

  • Strong skills in problem-solving, decision-making, time management and project delivery.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and open to innovative ways of working.

  • Proven team leadership and management experience.

  • Excellent communication, written & oral.
