About the Role

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who loves helping others? Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System (VBHCS) is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will provide critical hands-on hardware and software support to our end users across multiple Tennessee locations. You will act as a key player in troubleshooting network issues, managing devices, and ensuring our team has the technology they need to succeed.

What You Will Do

• User Support: Provide direct hardware/software support and hands-on training to VBHCS staff.
• Documentation: Assist in developing user-friendly training guides.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve system or network issues and help the IT team triage problems.
• On-Site Help: Travel locally within the Cumberland Plateau and Middle Tennessee area to support various locations.
• Hardware Maintenance: Configure, image, repair, and completely rebuild desktop and laptop devices.
• Device Management: Support and deploy all technology devices across the VBH network.
• Software Administration: Manage software installations, user access, and peripheral device setups.
• Mobile & Telecom: Administer and configure mobile technologies, including cell phones and MiFis.
• Active Directory: Administer and support user and hardware accounts.
• Access Control: Manage facility access systems and assign security cards.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years of related IT support experience (required).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (preferred).
• Technical Skills: Deep hardware knowledge, including device rebuilding and maintenance.
• Networking: Solid understanding of networking infrastructure, topologies, wireless, and mobile configurations.
• VoIP Knowledge: Familiarity with VoIP technology and phone configuration.

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, great people skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
