The Position:

A Project Procurement Lead at Eclipse Automation is accountable to facilitate the purchase, scheduling and delivery of materials to various projects on schedule, while collaborating cross-functionally with a variety of other Eclipse employees. Within this fast-paced environment, consistent management, escalation and resolution of project risks are paramount to success.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Facilitate the quoting process for development of the project parts requirements as well alignment of technical and schedule needs in the quoting process
  • Facilitate the direct purchases and internal manufacture of materials utilizing MRP functionality for defined projects
  • Work with the supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure project schedules are achieved
  • Ensure continuity of supply while escalating constraints as appropriate through effective risk management
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with critical supplier partners
  • Establish baseline material schedules to meet project timelines
  • Facilitate the creation of project specific supply chain strategies to meet project schedules and budgets
  • Management and implementation of all engineering change requests
  • Development, maintenance, and communication of project part risk statuses
  • Support the project team in early project development, through scheduling, BOM development, and material release
  • Negotiate vendor commercial agreements, product specifications, and technical specifications in alignment with proposal
  • Facilitate and/or attend factory acceptance testing for high value or critical items at vendor locations to ensure readiness and alignment with delivery requirements
  • Facilitate cross functional conversations with suppliers for design, quality or escalation requirements
  • Develop a good understanding of the supply base and the associated technologies within your projects
  • Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies as well as their business implications for awareness for the technical teams
  • Attend all project meetings representing supply chain management
  • Ability to travel globally, not to exceed 20% of time

What We're Looking For:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline (materials management, supply chain management or business)
  • Industry Certifications considered an asset (CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP, CCLP, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive supply chain management or planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience directly managing material procurement and associated suppliers or planning of a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills a must
  • MRP/ERP experience required (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Intermediate level skills required in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A strong team-player with experience working in cross-functional teams is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Committed to continuous improvement within the supply chain
  • The ability to multitask and to prioritize those tasks
