Zonal Legal Manager –Support Services, Retail
Grade: M6
Location: Mumbai
Experience: Minimum 15 years
Age: within 36 -38 years
Qualification: LLB from reputed law school (5 years BALLB Candidates shall be preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Comprehensive Legal Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage the legal aspects across all products offered by KMPL.
2. Litigation Management: Handle a diverse range of litigation under civil, criminal, and commercial law, ensuring effective representation and resolution on behalf of the organization.
3. Drafting and Representation: Prepare articulate and legally sound responses while representing the company in various legal proceedings, ensuring compliance and protection of the company’s interests.
4. SARFAESI Act Expertise: Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience in the SARFAESI Act, 2002, including independent handling of related actions and proceedings.
5. Specialized Litigation Handling: Manage complex cases pertaining to mortgage fraud, criminal matters, and other legal intricacies, fostering effective communication and collaboration with relevant authorities.
6. Leadership and Team Management: Exhibit strong leadership qualities to effectively lead and manage a team of 12-15 legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
7. Coordination and Support: Collaborate closely with the collections and recovery team, providing legal insights and support to facilitate efficient recovery processes across multiple products and portfolios.
8. System Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of NBFC systems and processes, leveraging technological tools and resources to streamline legal operations and enhance efficiency.
9. Business Legal: Good to have decent understanding of Mortgage underwriting and due diligence process.
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Graduate with relevant Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of comprehensive experience in legal management, with a strong focus on recovery and litigation handling within the banking/ Financial sector.
• Multi-Product Management: Demonstrated experience in managing legal aspects across multiple products and portfolios, showcasing versatility and adaptability in handling diverse legal challenges.
• System Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing banking systems and technological tools to enhance legal operations and streamline processes, ensuring effective management and coordination.
• Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to work closely with collections and recovery teams, fostering collaboration and synergy to achieve common goals and objectives.
• Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, enabling effective decision-making
• Excellent Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate legal concepts clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
