About the Research Project
SummitNext is coordinating a scientific study focused on the ergonomic design of head-worn devices (e.g., headphones, VR headsets, safety gear). The goal is to improve product fit and comfort for Southeast Asian populations. To achieve this, we are collecting accurate 3D head shape data from a diverse group of individuals.
Your participation will directly contribute to future technology and product innovation.
Your Role as a Participant
We are inviting healthy adults to join a safe and quick 3D head-scanning session. The full process takes only 12-15 minutes, consisting of:
Registration & Briefing (2 minutes)
Basic Physical Measurements (3 minutes)
Preparation for Scanning (3 minutes)
You will be provided with a wig cap.
Small, temporary markings will be applied on your face and ears using a removable eyebrow pencil (washes off easily).
3D Head Scanning (5 minutes)
Conducted using a handheld, state-of-the-art scanner.
Uses harmless blue light and is completely safe.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality & Ethnicity
Applicants must be native citizens of one of the following:
Malaysia
Thailand
Indonesia
Note: This study specifically excludes individuals of Chinese descent and those with mixed heritage involving non-Asian ancestry, as the objective is to gather targeted anthropometric data.

18 to 45 years old
Gender
No preference
Health Requirements
Participants must:
Be in good general health and maintain satisfactory personal hygiene
Have intact facial features (no craniofacial trauma, burns, or skin conditions on the head/face)
Not have epilepsy or any condition that could be affected by brief light-based scanning
Participation Details
Compensation: RM 75 (paid after session completion)
Travel: Self-arranged; not reimbursed
