The P-8 Poseidon is the most advanced multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft in the world. As a commercial derivative, it touches multiple Boeing teams across our Commercial, Defense, and Services businesses.
This role is a key member of the P-8 Program Leadership Team and is responsible for integrating production activities across the value stream of Boeing’s Business Units (BCA, BDS, and BGS), functions (Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance), and the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure delivery of P-8 aircraft to U.S. Navy and international customers. The role serves as a focal point for production execution, aligning factory priorities, assessing delivery risks and opportunities, driving recovery actions and leading cross-functional efforts to resolve complex issues impacting cost, schedule, quality, and aircraft delivery performance. The position also provides leadership across aircraft production, delivery, and post-delivery modification activities to ensure seamless execution throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
The position requires frequent interaction with senior program leadership, factory leadership, government customers, and functional organizations and demands strong business acumen, production operations experience, program management discipline, and executive communication skills. It is accountable for establishing and maintaining program management rigor through baseline and change management, risk/issue/opportunity management, affordability initiatives, and performance visibility. Additionally, the position supports future domestic and international growth opportunities by maintaining a stable, predictable, and scalable production system across a flagship franchise program within the Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) portfolio.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day production program execution activities supporting aircraft build, test, delivery, and post-delivery modification aligned with our customer commitments.
- Lead and develop a small team of program management first-line leaders and individual contributors while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Represent the P-8 Production Program in customer, executive, and production operating rhythm forums, communicating program status, risks, opportunities, recovery plans, and delivery commitments.
- Lead cross-functional execution by influence to ensure alignment of program priorities and execution plans.
- Develop and execute integrated plans to achieve production, delivery, and customer objectives while actively managing program risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Drive resolution of complex production, quality, engineering, supplier, and schedule challenges affecting aircraft delivery performance.
- Generate and present production execution metrics, predictive indicators, and performance-to-plan assessments to program and factory leadership.
- Develop executive-level briefings, rate readiness reviews, recovery plans, status reports, and decision-support materials.
- Facilitate production execution reviews and drive accountability for actions supporting aircraft delivery and production performance.
- Partner with government customers, the Defense Contractor Management Agency (DCMA), and Boeing leadership to maintain alignment on production priorities, delivery schedules, and program objectives.
- Lead special projects and strategic initiatives focused on improving production stability, affordability, delivery performance, and operational excellence.
- Utilize and promote Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) to improve program execution and production performance.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment including engineering, manufacturing/operations, quality, product support, finance, business development and program management
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and working with senior leadership
- Experience with U.S. Military or international government aviation and experience partnering with government customers to deliver services and products
- Experience in driving risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) items to closure through stakeholder coordination and action tracking
- Experience translating data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Experience using Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience developing and managing complex, multi-channel communication plans around highly technical products and programs
- Experience operating in a multi-contract or portfolio environment
- Proven ability to develop high-performing teams
- Demonstrated success influencing decisions at senior and executive levels
- Experience driving affordability and production system improvements at scale
- Experience in Program Management or IPT Leadership including cost, schedule and technical management
- Bachelor's degree or higher

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for $218,450 - $295,550
