Job Summary
Responsible for supporting the HR function through data analysis, compliance monitoring, and process improvement. This role ensures accurate and timely execution of HR operations, including policy administration, reporting, and record management. The HR Analyst provides insights through workforce analytics, assists with recruitment and onboarding activities, and supports compensation and benefits processes. By leveraging data and maintaining compliance with employment laws and organizational standards, the HR Analyst contributes to operational efficiency and strategic decision-making within the HR department

This position works a typical workweek schedule in a general office environment and may be eligible for hybrid workdays. The successful candidate should reside within a commutable distance of the Fort Collins area. Due to the collaborative nature of the work performed in this role, travel within Platte River’s owner communities is occasionally required. Performing this work requires occasional physical effort to lift and carry light objects and is primarily sedentary; minimal walking or standing is required on an as-needed basis. |

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Models the mission, vision, values, and culture of the organization
- Monitors and research changes in employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and emerging workforce trends across multiple states
- Evaluates potential impacts on organizational policies and practices and recommend timely updates to ensure ongoing compliance and alignment with best practices
- Ensure adherence to employment laws, EEO/AA reporting, CIP compliance, and DOT regulations
- Maintain and update HR policies to align with legal and organizational standards
- Schedule and perform ongoing review and improvement of HR policies and procedures for efficiency and compliance, prioritizing automation
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvement in all areas of HR
- Identifies areas for Improving data quality, integration, and reporting efficiency
- Makes evidence-based recommendations to scale, modify, or sunset programs
- Partner with HRIS analyst to develop, generate, analyze, and distribute workforce metrics and HR reports, dashboards, and actionable insights
- Serve as Dayforce backup for dashboard reporting and data analysis
- Maintain secure physical and digital HR records
- Ensure accurate documentation for employee lifecycle events
- Assist talent acquisition team during high-volume recruitment periods
- Coordinate interview scheduling and onboarding activities
- Provide operational support for payroll and compensation processes
- Validate salary adjustments and maintain accurate job descriptions
- Assign training and maintain learning systems
- Develop annual training plans in collaboration with HR leadership
- Manage employee and intern exits in compliance with organizational policies

Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (EEO/AA, CIP, DOT)
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce) and data analytics tools
- Understanding of compensation structures and job classification principles
- Knowledge of learning and development processes and training systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting HR data and metrics
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR software
- Effective communication skills for presenting data and collaborating with stakeholders
- Time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies to HR practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop dashboards and actionable insights from HR data
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and implement process improvements
Required education and licenses
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, business administration,
- management or related field from an accredited university or seven years of equivalent experience
- Current valid driver’s license and ability to remain insurable under the vehicle liability policy
Required work experience
- Five years of work experience in an HR-related role is required (recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations)
Preferred education, licenses and work experience
- HR certification such as SHRM, HRCI in an HR, benefit or compensation area or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment
Physical demands
- Minimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. Primarily sedentary, may occasionally lift and carry light objects. Minimal walking or standing as needed.
Hazards
- Minimal exposure to hazards are typically found in general office environment where there is rarely to no exposure to injury or accident.
Work environment
- Exposure to routine office noise and equipment
This is an exempt role; salaries are paid bi-weekly and are annualized below for reference. Factors that may be used to determine actual salary include specific skills, years of experience, education, and certifications.
- Full range: $99,538 to $139,419
- Hiring range: $99,538 to $119,533
