Description

To support the growth of our project business, we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer (Project Business) who will act as a key technical reference for smart shading and building automation projects.

This role bridges technology, project execution, and business development, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high‑quality, integrated solutions. It ensures the high‑quality technical execution of Somfy solutions in complex building environments by supporting specification, system design, commissioning, and after‑sales activities.

Your role:

  • Prepare technical specifications for motorized shading, control systems, and building automation solutions
  • Support project teams during design, planning, and tender phases
  • Design system layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation (AutoCAD or similar)
  • Commission systems on site and provide hands‑on troubleshooting and functional testing
  • Deliver technical training and knowledge sharing to partners, installers, and internal teams
  • Act as technical expert for after‑sales support and issue escalation
  • Act as an advisor in Building Management System (KNX, BACnet, Modbus, RS485)
  • Document activities and insights in CRM systems and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Willingness to contribute to business development by identifying project opportunities and supporting early‑stage specification

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Automation or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support, system commissioning, or building automation
  • Proven experience in construction or project-based environments
  • Valid electrical certification SEP, as required by local regulations (nice to have)
  • Experience working with installers, system integrators, engineering offices, or façade companies is a strong advantage
  • Strong technical knowledge of motorized shading systems, automation, and control solutions
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation and system schematics
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Full professional fluency in Polish and communicative - level proficiency in English
  • Readiness to travel up to 20% of working time
