Description

The patient services coordinator serves as an integral part of the team at the Swedish Breast Imaging Center. As the first point of contact to the patient, they must exhibit exceptional customer service skills. Communication tone and proactive problem solving are key to successfully assisting patients when they call and/or arrive in the SBIC department. This position performs a variety of front office clerical and support tasks within an outpatient setting.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 months of experience performing general and specialized office duties required; one year preferred
  • Experience in obtaining insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations
  • Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior hospital or clinical experience
  • 1 year of scheduling experience
  • Experience with computerized scheduling or relational databases preferred
