Job Description

What You Will Accomplish

The Area Director of Sales is responsible for driving top-line revenue across two premium select-service hotels by leading strategic sales initiatives, managing key account relationships, and executing results-driven business plans. This role requires a high-performing sales leader capable of cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and proactive outreach. The ideal candidate will possess strong market knowledge, brand expertise, and a proven ability to deliver consistent revenue growth in highly competitive urban environments.

What You Will Bring

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenues across transient, group, and corporate segments.
  • Lead and mentor on-property sales teams, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, demand generators, and competitor activity to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Foster key client relationships and actively participate in high-value sales calls, site visits, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with revenue management and marketing teams to optimize pricing, positioning, and promotional tactics.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and budget management in accordance with ownership and brand expectations.
  • Represent both properties within the community and at relevant trade events, industry functions, and brand activations.
  • Ensure CRM and sales systems are consistently and accurately utilized by the team to track performance and pipeline health.

Great If you have

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience, preferably within Marriott and/or Hyatt select-service brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple properties or complex sales environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in sales systems such as CI/TY, Delphi.fdc, Envision and Opera is highly desirable.
