We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join our digital technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress-based websites and digital platforms. You will work closely with designers, backend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to create responsive, high-performance, and user-friendly web experiences.

 
Key Responsibilities

 
* Develop and maintain frontend components for WordPress websites. * Build responsive and cross-browser compatible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and JavaScript. * Implement designs and layouts using Twig templating. * Integrate frontend functionality with WordPress themes and backend systems. * Utilize Gulp for asset compilation, optimization, and development workflows. * Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following frontend best practices. * Optimize website performance, accessibility, and SEO-related frontend aspects. * Troubleshoot and resolve frontend bugs and compatibility issues. * Collaborate with designers to translate Figma, Adobe XD, or other design assets into functional web pages. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

 
* 2+ years of professional frontend development experience.

Strong proficiency in: 
  * HTML5   * CSS3   * SCSS/SASS   * JavaScript (ES6+)   * jQuery   * Responsive and mobile-first design   * Cross-browser compatibility   * CSS Flexbox and Grid   * DOM manipulation and event handling * Experience developing and maintaining WordPress themes. * Hands-on experience with Twig templating. * Experience using Gulp for build automation and asset management. * Proficiency with Git version control, including: * Cloning repositories * Creating and managing branches * Committing and pushing code changes * Pulling and rebasing changes * Resolving merge conflicts * Creating and reviewing pull requests * Understanding Git workflows and branching strategies * Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development. * Familiarity with browser debugging tools and frontend performance optimization. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Good communication and collaboration abilities.

 
Preferred Qualifications

 
* Experience working in media, publishing, or content-driven websites. * Familiarity with WordPress hooks, template hierarchy, and custom theme development. * Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG). * Experience with REST APIs and AJAX integrations. * Understanding of SEO best practices from a frontend perspective. * Exposure to modern frontend frameworks is a plus.
